Food sampling

Cooking is one of the most wonderful experiences, not only when one is the actual person invited to eat; but also as the chef. However, other career choices will allow a student to become more than a chef. These are the tasters.

  • Wine taster
  • Coffee taster
  • Beer taster
  • Chocolate taster
  • Cuisine critic

Each one of these professions has the unique responsibility to taste and rate the products that are related to their unique expertise. Obviously, there is little to no point having a Coffee taster to sample and review a new beer; that is the job of the Beer taster.

However, becoming a taster requires not only a wide knowledge of cuisine, but also of chemistry, as well as great communicative skills. Most of the tasters work in the particular brand or company that produces the product, especially those who are gourmet quality; their reviews generally set up the consumer cost of a gourmet product or they can destroy completely the factory or the chef.

If the student decides to become a taster, then both the parents as well as the student will require to search for the best cuisine school possible that has not only the corresponding classes that will allow him or her to become a chef, but also chemical assignments that will allow him or her to become the taster. They should also consider the possibility for their child to study abroad at any of the world-renowned high cuisine schools.
